Party! Party!

Well, the lets make some noise party certainly lived up to its reputation.
It was a brilliant night - all levels of the house were pumping, the music was rocking and the vibe was high... dancing, singing, art - it all happened.

Before people arrived Tiff and I blew up some manky balloons with some wierd white powder inside and put them out the front of our house and our lane way - as our place can be a little difficult to locate.

Tiffany then went out to check on them and they'd disappeared, with the neighbours kids claiming they all popped!!! Yeah right. So we gave them a mischievious talking to - khong tot! khong tot! (not good).

A little lost as to how to show people what lane we were in, Tiff went back outside to find the balloons hanging up again!! Cheeky little kids - they'd obviously untied them and put them in their house. But how cute they put them up there again.

Made a mean punch and people starting rocking up... starting with a group spread out all around the lounge to standing room only in the lounge and kitchen.

Was a rad night - and we were so lucky. The landlord called at 2am to ask to turn the music down and finish up - not bad considering how close everyone's houses are around here...

Other funny memories of the night...

- Dan brought down his painting and he and his visiting oz mate were making art in the nook (the little room off our loungeroom). A friend Ashley's sister and cousin had arrived in Vietnam a couple of hours before they got to the party and at one point Gemma turned to me and said - this is such a wild party, you even have an art installation happening! They were totally spun out.

- Just before the phonecall and the cops arrived, everyone dancing and singing at top notch Tina Turner's classic track "What's love got to do with it". Would have loved to been outside listening to that. Crazy Australians.

- Ashley and Micky Roses air guitar, and group zombie moves to Michael Jackson's Thriller.

- When the party ended and we were preparing to go to Solace, went to the fridge to find a book and a pot plant in there, and then a spatula in the freezer... gotta love kooky fun.

- My landlord's father, the beautiful Ong, walking me and Tiffany out to the gate as we went to solace and him giving us hugs. I also gave him a peck on the cheek. He's so lovely.

By the way, the police were fine. They wanted the music turned down. By this stage I'd got the phone call from the landlord so we let Thriller play out and then turned the music off... on notice the police had arrived, I ran out and said Xin Loi, Xin loi (sorry), shaking their hands and they smiled and walked off.
