Out and about

Went looking for an emboidery place in the markets in the middle of the Old Quarter. It was a hive f activity and Ben had fun taking photos.

We went to a Vietnamese pub-cum-restaurant overlooking the Hoan Kiem lake, but the service was terrible - they completely ignored us and didn't take our order, despite the act they'd given us menus and we tried many times to meet their eye. There was a large group of Vietnamese eating and drinking at a table nearby, so the staff were focused on them.
So we left without ordering and it was up to the balcony of Sago to overlook the main roundabout on the lake.

Looking toward the roundabout at the lake. A moto driver on the corner of Ta Hien and the rndabout

Ta Hien - one of the main drags in the Old Quarter.

Ben chilling, me sorting the bill
We went for dinner at Koto tonight. I'd been there for breakfast once before, and that was great, but dinner was awesome. Koto has a education and training program teaching disadvantaged youth and street kids hospitality skills and they all work a the restaurant. We had the best meals and the atmosphere was great. Ben really liked it as well.

Even talked about the possibility of him looking to get work there when he comes across for three months at the end of the year. Tiffany's boyfriend Steve works there, so said I'd chat to him about the possibility of Ben working there as a volunteer, working and teaching bar skills, being the skilled cocktail maker and expert in flare (bar tricks like in the Tom Cruise and Bryan Brown movie "Cocktail") that he is.
Went back home and indulged in more Entourage and some delicious Black Currant Absolut voda before meeting up with Emma B at Dragon Fly.
There was a group of Australian travellers we al were talking to and before we knew it a couple of them yelled out "sans pants" and proceeded to dack themselves in the middle of Dragon Fly. Man, it was so funny. Apparently it had become bit of a tradition for them as they were travelling. Classic.
All of us then headed to Baracuda when Emma and I mtv danced and the boys christened the Bara with their sans pants tradition. Bara was pretty quiet, so it was then onto Solace for some more dancing.
